Boxing and Interval Training

Our boxing classes has been designed to help you lose weight, gain muscle and become the owner of a lean and toned body. By joining our boxing classes, you will be able to improve your reflexes, gain swift movements and increase coordination, along with muscle tone and conditioning.

Our interval training is also great for weight loss and is fantastic for promoting recovery during exercise. This means how quickly your body recovers from doing a stint of high intensity exercise, during an assigned rest period. This can be measured by how fast your heart rate drops down to comfortable steady state to then perform another stint of high intensity exercise, usually ranging from 8 seconds to 1 minute. High intensity interval training will improve your anaerobic fitness and breathing techniques, increase your metabolism and aid in weight loss and weight management, also building strength and power.

Resistance and Cardio Training

Our resistance training will benefit you with functional based weight resistance exercises to develop your muscle tone and strength. In turn this will aid in weight loss and is a vital part to your weight loss success.

Our cardio training builds your aerobic fitness base to give you longer lasting endurance, energy and stamina. Unlike interval training, cardio training is working for a prolonged period of time, it usually takes about 15-20mins to be in steady state and be right into your aerobic workout.

HIIT / Flexibility

Our HIIT / Flexibility class commences with high intensity interval training to get the blood pumping and warm up our muscles ready for both dynamic and static stretching.

The session will include stretch routines to improve flexibility. Participants will also learn effective use of foam rollers to help loosen tight muscles, which in turn makes for a better stretch when performing the stretch routines. Foam rollers are also good to use when you have muscle soreness.

Muscle soreness is normal and usually happens after your workout as muscle fibres go through the normal repeated process of breakdown and repair. This is how your body builds lean muscle. Using the foam roller effectively will increase blood flow to sore areas, accelerating recovery and reducing soreness.

The session ends with a few quite moments for relaxing and de-stressing for both mind and body.
